Description Week Eight

My little baby niece, Althea Rose, born February 24, 2011.

---

Not the best picture, because it was dark in the room, and I was trying not to use the flash, so I didn't scare her, so I had to do some lightening up in Photoshop, which made it kind of grainy.

Also, I realize I'm incredibly late this week. I worked all weekend, so I really didn't have time to edit anything. But I will try very hard to have a second one up this week.

Cute!

It seems the grain is mostly visible in the background - you could try doing a layer mask and only lightening up the foreground...or you could do a gaussian blur on just the background area which would make it look a bit like bokeh!

Want me to explain? It's SUPER easy, and masks are the only way you should be doing image adjustments! It is non-destructive - meaning that you don't even touch your original shot and it's very easy to undo or change.
