Definitely agreed, the further you go back in animation- the looser the laws of physics tend to be. Cartoons tend to be seen as cutesy, but the original ones were surreal- with everything being alive and anything to anyone can drastically change into something else without warning. It's fun to watch, but not fun to actually be in that kind of deranged mad world.
