Description
I had a better title for this, but the section wasn't big enough for it. I wanted to put "Beneath the water, above the sky"Hawl AGAIN. He's not supposed to have wings...but I put em in anyway... Yeah, decided to color/draw something to get my mind of crappy things happening at home.
Practicing reflective coloring and the like, woo.
Done in painter, coloring done on one layer.

What I really love is how his hand is reaching in the water and looks like he's going to pull his reflection out. I also love how bright the gas mask eye thingers are in the green. awesome job.

i'll say what could be fixed first. it pretty much only has to do with the water.
it's really only a water depth issue. his foot appears to be in a half inch of water, whereas his knees appear to be in two inches of water, and his hand appears to be in foot of water. that's easily possible anyway, i mean, ground isn't level. it just seemed like it should be in here.
the lighting and shading is all very nice. it could've used a few cast shadows though. they always add a wonderful lighting effect.
this is beautiful though. there is much attention payed to details that many people simply ignore. the light from the eyes, for instance, reflected on the gasmask, giving it that orage tint. the purposeful assymetry of the whole picture, while still keeping it balanced. less detail where the water moves more. all simply great.
the feeling of movement from the wings and (tail?) was also nicely done. the clouds as well. the sky has a really cool eerie effect to it. again, very nice shading. the light effects through shading are awesome. very very well done overall.

Yeah I can understand what ya mean aboutthe water thing looking at it now o__O But it wasn't supposed to be ground at all-- he was supposed to be sitting atop of water kinda sinking in--but then I kinda overworked it but then he looks like ground and blah! xD will remember that for next time yessir.

This is fabulous. His pose, with leaning on his arm, draws your eye up and down the picture, making sure that the viewer sees all the most important elements.
