Pheasant Ridge Annual Spring Show - 2021 RESULTS

It's Lycans and Christophers' first show together. And omg what a ride.
The day started beautifully but got interrupted by a big thunderstorm. Lycan got really nervous because of all the noises from other horses, people, and the storm outside.
But still, he showed his good side! He is wearing a red ribbon on his tail because he really doesn't like horses to close to his hind. Maybe the storm has a good thing too, he was so focused on Chris and
the storm that he wasn't really noticing the other horses.
The indoor arena was luckily canceling the noises from the storm a little and Chris got his call to start.
He walked in, with this beautiful dark stallion with 4 white legs and beautiful blue eyes.

Chris pet Lycan on the shoulder, that's his sign to get ready. Chris is riding him bitless, that's the standard for those warmbloods. The dark brown leather looks
beautiful on Lycans dark, nearly black coat. They got into a beautiful wide canter and looked at the first jump, a wide oxer but no problem for this stallion.
Also, the next few jumps and even the combination have been no problem. Then it was time for the last 3 jumps and Chris was looking to the window for their next jump.
They have been so lucky, no thunder and no lightning until then. He and Lycan have been flying over a really high jump right next to the window and there it came. Thunder and Lightning nearly at the same time.
After the landing, Lycan kicked and took a wide jump forward to the next jump. He jumped over it like the devil with full speed and Chris could just hold on to his mane.
For the last jump, Chris was able to calm Lycan down, just enough to master the oxer with at least 10cm space between Lycans hooves and the bar.
The crowd enjoyed the music and this powerful team over the full ride and at the end, everyone stands up and cheered for them.

Christopher was speechless and gave Lycan some good scratches and walked out of the arena. THis was more than he could wished for, a 0 round in a amazing time.

Hope u guys will like seeing him more in the future because I'm in love with him!
