Very nice use of colour. May i ask of your findings of the study? did you start out with two colours? namly yellow and blue, cos it seams you used the background colour of the sky to make the distance effect in the background of the landskabe?

Well, the first good point for the beginner like me is to start looking for a nice reference. I heard that it's better to be a photo, but I like nice colors so I prefer drawings of professional artists that I like. I chose this one:

Then try to feel the colors, don't pick them with the color picker. Try to guess the color first, only then you can pick the color to check it. Often the real color is not what it's looks like. Start with filling the image with the color of the sky, and move from the background to the foreground. Of course on the background colors will fade away and blend with the color of the sky to create an air perspective.
