Yeah, I mean you got access to a canvas covered truck and four stealth operatives don't you?

Maybe kinda pokemon black... and platinum of course. As for online with Black, I dunno how to get it to work, I think it is not online officially yet due to that earthquake

(I am back in XI as well though if that matters -shrug-)

you just need to get your friend code and stuff, i think... I'm not sure. I got black and the fella got white, I'm sooo close to having all the pokemons... but... there are those event pokemon that I just can't get.

As far as i've heard ffxi has gone to the dogs. I've heard that it's all awful and unbalanced and theirs no real economy and stuff like that.

I've been playing rift, it's pretty good fun

That's the thing, apparently you need to connect to the official servers or something like that first but I dunno, haven't yet beaten it so I haven't been worrying about it.

Wow, whoever told you that is a bold faced liar, there is a small issue with some economy, but the new dev team we got a few months back has been working almost non stop improving the game. It's recovering from the original dev team's crap. Heck, when the original went over to ffXIV officially, they got fired. Now that game is actually getting good too apparently. There are still common problems for newer players such as getting a damn party at times and some issue with equipment, but it's still rather strong. But enough about that

I did get told that a few months ago so maybe it's different now.

Yes, yes we should for I do indeed need my Gurdurr to evolve into even more power.

That would make sense, back then it was still pretty dang bad. I won't try and force people to come back, but I do ask people to try it again sometime. Double exp in non Abyssia zones is rather awesome too making leveling much easier. Dang it I am talking about it again!

haha plus i've gotten a lot of the white pokemon off Dave, so i can trade you those
still need him to catch me a rufflet though

I sorta quit for good about 2 months before it went downhill anyway. I just wasn't enjoying it, couldn't do anything without looking up a guide etc. I'm liking rift though, a lot like WoW but without all the crap

Soon as I can get everything working proper I will do that. Also, if I can get my hands on a second DS I will be able to get Zoroark and can send you the Suikune to you, though it seems I'd have to send it to your heart gold or soul silver as it requires a special way to be transfered to activate the event. I did miss out on getting the event celebi though...

Yeah, I can understand. I just get really irritated when people dis the game anymore, a lot has happened and most of what people tend to refer to a lot of old stuff. FF online games are popular to dis on.

As for rift, Wow pissed me off quite a lot, so I don't think I'll be playing rift if it is anything like it.

you could trade me the black white event one and i could trade it straight back?

I hated wow, I like rift. Not saying you have to do it.. but I wouldn't toss it aside just because of that.

BlackWrite In reply to asimpleparadox [2011-04-08 01:13:06 +0000 UTC]

Well, you need to use the pokeshifter I think it was, and it requires a nearby ds to detect black/white's send code thing. Then the event activates, trading normally doesn't work. So yes I still could, but I need to go find the friend code off my platinum for that. We can do eet though

Mayhaps, but I've got a free month of xi, and no time to pick up extra stuff. I'll check it out sometime in the future, probably, maybe, I might do that, it is a possibility, please try again...

oh... wow this is.. more complicated than I thought. Damn. Ah well if we ever manage to that's awesome, and if not, meh.

yeah fair enough. I'll let you know next time they announce a free thing on rift so you can have a go.

Yeah the Zoroark and Zoura events are a little annoying. Still haven't found someone who will let me borrow their DS so I can get it done with. Though I did just complete the game's main plot, (didn't expect Reshiram to catch in one try). Now off to homework so I can go to D&D tomorrow and not feel pressure

srsly, after Platinum's Girganta at a catch rate of 3! Catching the title pokemon in black/white was disappointingly easy.

**** I love everything they did with this game though. TMs=infinite use? HELLS YEAH!

asimpleparadox In reply to BlackWrite [2011-04-17 21:05:55 +0000 UTC]

indeed! Other legendary pokemon are harder, but still very easy. Then again I had a high level with false swipe and I've never had that before so catching pokemon in general felt a lot easier for me. TMs infinite use took me a while to figure it out.. I remember thinking 'oh.. I must've had two of those tms..' and they're heaps expensive to buy the tms now, but it makes sense when you can throw them on every pokemon.

BlackWrite In reply to asimpleparadox [2011-04-20 03:56:22 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, those fighting type horses or whatever they were (I am still not really sure what their backstory with letting you challenge them is), they certainly were more difficult. I mean the first two weren't too bad, but when I got to the last one, the rock type one, I got frustrated. It took about an hour of trying one day, and then a bus ride + half way through making dinner to catch that one,

And yeah, normally I never use tms because... well, I usually just replace them with something it naturally learns down the line when I find out it gets something good naturally. But while talking to everyone in the like the first couple towns (because I do that in this game for some reason....) someone told me about the tms, and then I walked away, then came back and talked to him again thinking I had read that wrong. "You can use them as many times as you like." F*k'n A! And yeah, it makes more sense to be able to use them multiple times, certainly made me actually use them for once. And I think that is what they did it for.

With these games they really focused on people who never played before, while making old players happy. I especially like how there was a good reason to encounter the other starters in normal gameplay since you had two rivals that actually came into play rather than dawn/lucas in the last game which just showed up to battle maybe TWICE! And I like how we were basically teens rather than kids, its like the games are growing up with us, but still hold onto the childlike simplicity and innocence.

And this is too long to write in a reply to a reply to a reply to a comment.

hahah I had no trouble with the horses, they were all easy, but at least they were harder than reshiram. I've gotta go catch the dragon in that.. place.. uhm.. YEAH you know. I hope he'll be a bit more challenging.

I always used TMs, but would uhm and arrr over them for ages whether or not it was worth it, and be all careful and scared. Now I used them like candy, here eat this pokemon, have another, and another..

I loved that they were teens.. I'd love to see them even get a bit older with it, have more mature themes, but still keep the same feel. It'd be really interesting to see a more mature pokemon but I also want it to be innocent.. so conflicted
