The broken-hearted country stood at the edge of the glittering pond, still unfrozen. Little did she take notice of the call that was said to her from behind. She just let her tears roll down her cheeks while staring into the pond.

She looked at her own reflection, until it morphed into the memory of seeing her past love on the door step of his new lover.

The Mountie behind her tipped his head to the side and shifted his weight onto his other leg, causing the frosty grass underneath him to crunch.

The country looked up from the pond, alerted by the sound of the crunching grass. She furrowed her brows and turned her head slightly, not even glancing over her shoulder. "Can I help you with something? If not, get out of here before I knock your face in." She growled.

"Now what would I have done to deserve such harsh treatment from you? I don't even know you." He replied simply, his voice gruff, but in a soothing way.

She scoffed. "Please, it's not like anyone cares if they know me or not... They'll just walk all over me and leave me in the dust."

The man reached up to remove his sunglasses. They slid off his nose easily with the help of his hand pulling them off. "Hey." He called out again. "Turn around." He ordered.

She didn't know how to respond, but that voice... It was too familiar... She quickly turned and the sight in front of her caused more warm tears to streak down her cold cheeks.

"I'm here." Spoke the man with pale skin, long blond hair, a stay curl, and violet eyes.

She was speechless. What she did was just run. She dashed from her spot near the pond and right into the stranger's chest. She buried her nose in his uniform and let her tears seep into the fabric while her hands clutched his arms.

The man stared down at her, feeling the heat rise to his cheeks. This was a broken girl, she needed someone there for her, someone she could lean on and listen to her no matter the situation. And he was that person.

"I've got you, and I'll take care of you." He told her as he wrapped a muscular arm around her and placed a hand on the top of her head.

The Country looked up slightly to see the violet eyes of the stranger smile down at her. "...Who are you?" She mumbled through the fabric.

"...I'm Canada."

((BLAAH!! DONE!!! TOOK ME ALL NIGHT LAST NIGHT AND MOST OF THE MORNING TO FINISH!! I'M HAPPEH!!! XD

Anyway, this was inspired by an RP that I did and I like how this turned out. Of course, CanadaXGreenland is like my main OTP (((Besides ScotlandXFaroe and LatviaXAland))) But I suppose if 1pCanada left her for Prussia (((YUSH I SHIP PRUCAN!))) Then 2pCanada there to the rescue! 8D Well, now I'm going to eat lunch and study for my Latin test. :3))
