Kirby
Usually cheerful, often smiles (his face is so adorable~ )
Very energetic, runs around a lot
A Star Warrior born from a shooting star that landed on Popstar, he has the ability to use his Warp Star (which he keeps in his pocket when not active), and he's one of the few who can wield the Star Rod. (I want a dollar for every time I said "star" in that sentence.)
He's the hero of Dream Land, having saved his planet multiple times.
Very big eater, but since his stomach leads to a pocket dimension, he rarely gets full.
Has the power of Copy Abilities - if he touches or eats someone or something (never eats people though!), he can copy its power.
He's been teased for wearing pink, which he responded to by saying, "I like pink, so I'm gonna wear pink." He doesn't get teased anymore because of his hero status, though.
Good at making friends, even has made up with his worst enemies, including King Dedede and Magolor.

Meta Knight
Mysterious, very rarely talks about his past experiences
Often called a warrior of darkness, though he has good intentions
Acts as Kirby's mentor, teaching him how to fight, but uses very harsh methods
Works for King Dedede, but cares more about training Kirby
Has a very close relationship with his army, the Meta-Knights
Only takes off his mask in front of his very close friends - if his mask is broken in battle, he flees.
His cape is called the Dimensional Cape, and it allows him to teleport. His sword is called Galaxia and has its own intelligence, and its blade is made of pure energy (somewhat like a lightsaber, actually, but I also imagine it to have mass).
He has wings folded and hidden under his cape (add that to the ref later, maybe).
Good friends with Galacta Knight

King Dedede
Appears to only care about himself, very rude (though he's actually not a bad person on the inside)
He's the king of Dream Land, but doesn't put much effort into ruling it.
He used to be a jerk to his Waddle Dee servants, but after befriending their leader, Bandana Dee, he started to be a bit nicer to them. As a result, they work much harder for him.
He's fought Kirby many times, using his favorite wooden hammer, but always loses. Their relationship used to be that of enemies, but now they see each other as being rivals or even friends.
Big eater (not as much as Kirby, though), loves fast food (like hamburgers)
He's allied with Whispy Woods and Kracko, though they aren't always nice to each other.
Very strong, has trained hard, especially more recently
Besides his battle training, he's very lazy and spends most of his time ordering Waddle Dees to bring him tea while he sits in his throne.
He became known as a hero after destroying the Dimension Mirror. Shadow Kirby, however, now hates Dedede.

Bandana Waddle Dee
Serves King Dedede, the "boss" of the other Waddle Dee servants
Dedede's best friend, always there for him
He also leads the army, and is very good with a spear, but hates to fight, preferring to settle things peacefully.
The bandana he wears was given to him by Dedede as a reward for helping to defeat 02.
He has a small orange car, which he sometimes drives Dedede around in (in Dream Land, there isn't really an age limit for driving, you just have to be able to reach everything properly).
He's good friends with Kirby, though he's loyal to Dedede first, and would choose him over Kirby if he had to.
Very hardworking, always does his best and never gives up
