To answer your question, Sheba...My favorite AND most used Psynergy series would be Aura, since our party really needed that one a lot until Piers came along... And even after that, I was still better when the group needed a quick heal since he could be slow sometimes.
...Though, Fume is also a very devastating power. It's my second favorite overall, and favorite attack Psynergy by a long shot.

Well, the question was about Psynergy series, so I figured the higher level versions of the base Psynergy went with "Fume" and "Aura."

Fume is basically hitting something with a giant flame of awesome. I fine it hard to beat that, but Aura is cool too and it makes since that something well needed would be a favorite.

I use fire sometime...though it's always better to attack an opponent with the element their weakest against. I don't know about where you are from, but some of the creatures I've encountered are actually healed and strengthened if a spell of the element they are aligned with is used on them.

And that's where djinn come in handy in my world. ^^ You're right, though. Monsters do have resistances and weaknesses, which is why my friends tried to balance out our teams with a person from each of the four elements. My base class is always fire, though I can change my class somewhat by equipping different kinds of djinn.

Well...in my world, there are more than just the four base elements. There's also lightning, ice, darkness and light. Of course, lightning can tie into wind, but it's opponent is ice, which ties into water. There's still a difference.
