Thoughts
They are so strange
That some seem derange
They twist beliefs and make them so distorted
That it would make most believe you are morbid
But oh~ if they only knew the things you thought
Oh my~ they would find you so distraught
They would surely shun from such a fiend so twisted
A fiend who thinks such thoughts that no man could think existed
So you keep your thoughts to yourself
Bottle up your wickedness and stock it away on your mental shelf
Then you keep up a nice façade, playing it sane
But your act is one that is all in vain
Because in the back of your mind
Your thoughts are playing over and over like someone keeps hitting play and rewind
And although they say they adore you
Smother you with affection and kiss and coo
Your thoughts think otherwise…
Your thoughts scream LIES, LIES, LIES!!!
For you can’t help, but overanalyze
And then agonize
As your thoughts twist the truth into anew
And make you doubt everything you thought you knew
And you start to wonder if some things were even true at all?
You question and question until it drives you to bawl
Crying to yourself because your tears aren’t worth a damn to anyone else
So you cry alone and you comfort yourself
With your thoughts….
