The reason is because the book series, Guardians of Childhood (which the movie was based on), didn't have the fourth book out yet. And the fourth book is when Jack comes in. Then apparently Mr. Joyce (the author) decided to have Jack in the movie (which is almost like a spinoff of the books with a different plot) because he didn't want people to go "Oh, I watched the movie, I don't need the book."

I know I thought it was crazy too. Like the sleigh scene they had to edit him out, they replaced him with tooth and she wasn't even in that scene. It sorta of pissed me off when I realized it XD I mean come on, Jack is practically their money maker XD

I saw like two RoTG television ads. One of which had nothing to do with anything. And there was the one at the movie theatre. Everything else I looked up myself on YouTube AFTER I saw the movie. C'mon DreamWorks. You've really gotta step it up with your marketing.

OR any of the good parts. The only reason I even saw it was because I had to go with my little sister. We would've seen Wreck-It-Ralph but I remembered about Jack, and we went. It's sososososo sad though because DreamWorks hasn't disappointed me as of yet and their animation is absolutely flawless. AND their characters and plots are amazing! T^T
