Description Țuică (Romanian pronunciation: [ˈt͡sujkə]; sometimes spelled tuica, tzuika, tsuika, tsuica, or tzuica) is a traditional Romanian spirit that contains 45%-60% alcohol by volume (usually 52%). It is usually made from fruits.

Țuică is the official name for the drink when it is prepared only from plums. Other spirits that are produced from some other fruit or from a cereal grain are called "rachiu" or "rachie."

Don't expect me to say blood, erk.... Distasteful to millions of my taste buds. Just nasty!

Heh, try horincă, a drink in Maramureş, it burns you alive, I love that! I love ţuică so much, it's good with everything, with thick, fruit juice, boiled with sugar or in cakes, it's perfect.

Yes, great dinner drink. I like to take shots with it too, it's a pity though because I can't taste the flavor well as I throw it down my throat. It's good fun to see my friends stare in awe as I drink one too many and still stand on my feet.
