The ruler before the Shadow King
When he was of the age of 13, he was exiled due to some complications.
He took refuge in the forest living off of fruits and berries, there he was taught woodland magic by some elves and a druid.
He was kidnapped a day later, cloned and the clone was brought to the future while the one in the past went on to become the ruler of the Shadow Kingdom, eventually he died and the Shadow King took his place.
His duplicate is still alive and kicking though.

"Hmm?" He turns around curious as to who called him. "What's the problem?" He says smiling.

She circled him, hands still on her back, observing every part of him. "You're a shadow?" she looked up to him with curiosity. "Interesting." The slightest hint of a smile creeping up on her.

"I'm.. human." she replied. She slowly approached him and reached a hand up to take his chin in her hand and aim it up, turning his head to the left side then to the right showing the marking in his face. "Huh, what's this?" She said while she was stroking his right cheek.

"Oh, this? This is just something that the royalty of the shadow kingdom gets, each one is different." He shrugs and says "I have no idea what it does though." He holds out his pale grey hand "My name's Roland."

She grabbed his hand and gently shook it. "Adeline. Adeline Wolfe." She replied as she gazes at him, still holding his hand. "Adel for short." She then pulled his sleeves up and examines his arm. She was astonished on how cold his temperature is. "Cold."

He raises an eyebrow and looks at her as if it was common sense. "Well of course it's cold Adel, after all we shadows hardly have any blood in us"

"Fair point." she replied and lets go of his arm. ".. but you can never be too careful." She exhaled and steps back, studying his face . "Besides, i've never encountered something like you before."

"Someone like me?" He snickers and says "Oh shush you, you're making me blush~" He then walks beside her pats her on the back. "Don't be scared, I won't bite."

"I'm not," she replied dryly and placed her hands behind her back again. "And I wasn't trying to make you blush either." She said looking over her shoulder at him.

He grins madly patting her head. "Why so serious?" He then puts a fake cockroach in her hands and mutters something to himself.

She looked at the fake cockroach straight-faced, and she was clearly not amused. "Is my seriousness bothering you?" she replied as she glanced at him. "-- And what am I supposed to do with this?" she added.

"Heh, it's not bothering me at all~ In fact it's pretty cute." He then kisses her cheek and whispers into her hear "As for that toy, you can do anything you want with it."

She gently positioned her hand behind the back of his head, her lips nearly touching his ear. "Aww.. aren't you cute~" she whispered back with a hint of sarcasm. "You and your cute little toys.." she scoffed and smirked.
