North: *The wind teenager is floating back and forth near a path in what is apparently his version of pacing. A strange look is plastered on his face and it's difficult to discern exactly what it is he's thinking. It seems as though he's troubled, concerned, angry, and frustrated all at once. Every so often his mouth moves as though he were talking to himself. He doesn't acknowledge or even notice anybody coming up the path towards him.*

As they walk down the path Minor (the guy) shoves Major off the path a bit, who after stumbling and regaining her balances shoves him back had enough to send him sprawling into a bush.Β
Major: haha! *looks up after laughing for a second and notices North and starts chocking on her laughter trying to stifle it*
Minor: what? *sits up with a few twigs in his hair and see's North as well* Who the heck is that?

North: *Still lost in his own angry world, North hasn't noticed the pair just yet. As he continues floating back and forth they can feel a wind starting and coming down the path towards them. It's a cool breeze and is still fairly gentle.*

Major: *watches North for a moment perplexed as to what he is exactly before calling out* hey buddy, you lost or something?
Minor: =_=' great. You find problems to fix everywhere you go. *starts to get up*
Major: *shoves him back to the ground with her foot*

*North's head shoots up, his face still wearing a frown. He gives a mirthless chuckle and says.* Lost? Ha! If only it were that simple. *The wind teenager stops his pacing but crosses his arms at the interaction. Slowly the wind coming in has started to pick up and the cold tinge in it begins to nip at their skin.*

Major: *Glances around at the wind a bit concerned and tucks her hair back behind her ear* so, if you aren't lost, whats got you all upset?
Minor: *sits up again mumbling* what the hell is up with the weather these days . . .Β

North: *He blinks at Major as she asks him what's wrong but he doesn't answer. Instead he just slowly turns away and mutters.* Look just... Thanks but there's nothing you could do to help...... *The wind gets more violent, kicking up dust from the path and becoming audible with an ominous howling.*

Major: What the heck is up with this wind?! *smooths her dress down* Hey wait! You don't know if I can help or not until you've told me the problem! and you shouldn't be out here alone in this weather anyway.
Minor: *gets to his feet holding his hat to his head and studying North* . . . is he made of air?

*North pauses and looks back at her even as the wind grows in intensity. Their clothes whip around them as the powerful gusts threaten to push them over. He glances over his shoulder at the wind and a look of annoyance flashes across his face as though he had just now noticed the strange weather. With a frustrated growl he waves a single hand and the wind just... Stops... Like it hit an invisible wall in front of them. With a sigh he turns back towards them and asks.* You sure you want to hear this? It's not gonna be a fun story.

Major: *looking a bit frazzled from the wind she runs her finger through her hair in an attempt to unknot it* Talking about it will make it better, whatever it is.Β
Minor: *Looks around with a mixture of aww and fear, finally gathering that North is the one controlling the wind. He leans close to Major and whispers* I think, we need leave. . . or at least be very careful not to piss him off . . .
Major: *shoves him away from her and asks North* so what happened?

*With a heavy sigh North walks over to a nearby tree, rests his back against the trunk, and slides down into a sitting position.* ...... Well.... I suppose you two probably get that I'm a wind person. A Northern Wind person to be exact.... My name's North. North wind seven of the ninth generation... Heh... Pretty stupid name right?... Anyway, I don't suppose either of you know anything about the Northern Wind Kingdom's culture?

Major: a . . . wind person? you were controlling the wind? *sits on the ground near him* That's pretty cool yo.Β
Minor: *sits next to Major a bit cautiously* we have never heard of wind people before.

Yeah. I was controlling the wind. Y'see... *He raises a hand out in front of them and almost instantaneously a perfect orb of swirling wind appears in his palm.* Most of my people have the innate ability to conjure and control wind. But my family has always had the strongest connection to it.... *North takes a second to compose himself before continuing.* The Northern Wind Kingdom is home to a guardian of sorts... The North Wind. Decades ago, my ancestor stood against an army and wielded the very essence of the Northern Wind as no other had done before. Since then the powers of the North Wind have been passed down by generation.

Major: wow, that sounds intense. Did they win? against the army? *still fiddling with her hair*
Minor: Of course they did, how else would he be here? *gesters to North*

*He nods quietly and continues.* My grandfather passed the powers on to my dad... Aaaand now that he's held the position for a while he feels it's time to pass it on to one of his kids. Including me he had 77 different options to choose from.............. *Slowly his mood turns darker.*

Minor: 78 kids!? holy cow! ho- *Major punches him in the arm before he can continue*Β
Major: your worried your dad wont choose you?

*North looks at the boy and replies.* I said 77 including me. I have 76 brothers and sisters. *But when Major asks him her question he slumps down even more.* No... That's just it.... He chose me....

Minor: then whats the problem? that sounds awesome.
Major: You don't want the powers?Β
π: 0 β©: 1
NO! *He stands up with an angry growl.* I don't want the powers! I don't want the responsibility, I don't want to fight, and I sure as hell don't want to kill anyone! *A violent wind appears and begins howling past them, apparently being directly linked to his emotions.*Β

Minor: *srambles backwards* oh-kayyy time to leave . . .
Major: *just as her hair was finally starting to look normal again it gets re ruffled by the wind. she jumps to her feet and shouts over the wind at him* hey! calm the heck down or you'll start a tornado or something!

*North huffs angrily and crosses his arms but the wind dies out anyway. He grumbles out.* And ever since then I've been getting these stupid power fluctuations...

Major: listen, just because you have these powers to kill people doesn't mean you have to use them like that! You have a choice, and that's what life is all about! Making choices! Welcome to living!Β
Minor: For example I go to bed every night and decide to not kill Major in her sleep.
Major: *glares at Minor* and I wake up every morning and decide not to suffocate you with a pillow while you sleep in 'till noon!

*North glances up at them watching them bicker back and forth. Despite himself he can't help but smile at them a little bit.* Y'know, you two make a cute couple. How long have you been dating?

Major: Gross! *takes a step away from Minor in disgust* I wouldn't date him if he was the last guy on the planet.Β
Minor: *crosses his arms and says glaring at her* And I wouldn't date you if my life depended on it.Β
Major: *crosses her arms as well* well, finally some thing we agree on T_T'

*North's smile grows a little wider as the thought of his problems start to dissipate before him.* Oh really? You sure you guys aren't protesting a bit too much?

Minor: The only reason we even tolerate being in the same area as each other is because our parents are really good friends.
Major: Yea, and they think forcing us to be together all the time will make us like each other or something.
Minor: *makes a gagging motion*

So why were you two walking together just now? *He raises an eyebrow and smirks at them.*

Minor: we have to!
Major: we're stuck together all summer, it gets boring staying the the house all day.Β

Yeeeah but you don't HAVE to stay together.....

Minor: you don't understand, our parents force us to be together, like all the time.Β
Major: This morning they were all like *changes her voice to a more high pitched and annoying one and waves her hands by her head* "oohhhhhh what nice weather! why dont you two go outside and enjoy the fresh air!" *drops her hands back to her side and changes back to her normal voice* they say it like it's a suggestion but it's really not. T_TΒ
Minor: you cant understand unless you experience it first hand.

*North chuckles lightly and replies.* No I guess I can't. Still, I think you two look good together. You certainly argue like a coupe.

Minor: a couple in need of a divorce maybe.
Major: or serious counseling.Β

*North chuckles and leans against a nearby tree.* Alright alright. I'll leave it alone.
