The am we pelted male strutted up to her. His cranium tilted, confusingly. "You know you can't say that about yourself. We all all get a mate eventually. There's no telling what could happen!" His bright yellow eyes winked at her as he gave her a friendly nuzzle. He slowly sat on his haunches, his head and muzzle directing towards the ceiling. "We all have our moments, but none if us know when then come." His orbs shifted over to her. "You can't rush things, sweetheart. You'll know when the time comes." The Tom hustled up. "Farewell, love. It was nice seeing you."

The partially white tabby regarded her friend with a somber expression. "Why don't you think you'll ever have kits? Lionblaze once spoke of how close you and Thornclaw supposedly were. If not him, there's bound to be some tom who wouldn't mind fathering your kits. You're a beautiful she-cat, there's no reason for any tom to reject you. So why do you insist on it being unlikely?" Then she stared at her friend in alarm as a thought crossed her mind. She wouldn't dare ask if her friend was barren. That'd be an awkward conversation for both of them. "Unless, you dong want to talk about it," she added gloomily.

Blossomfall looked over to Ivypool in alarm, her very being flushing at kind words before quickly covering her face with a paw. Unsure how to answer the dappled she-cat thought deeply for a few brief moments until finally returning her attention back to the grey tabby "T-That's.. I really can't have kits b-but not in the reason you might think! I don't think I'm barren or anything so don't be worried!" she sputtered out in a embarrassment, now wondering what else to say before letting out a deep sigh "B-But I can't tell you why! it's.. a secret, probably a bad one too when I think about"

Ivypool backed up, realizing that perhaps she had startled her friend. She smiled in a hopefully gentle manner, in hopes of easing the other's mind, she said, "Well, that's good news. Partially." Tilting her head, her expression morphed into a frown. "Do you mean that no toms interest you? That's okay. Some she-cats choose not to take mates, and that's okay." She smiled warmly at the other again, "There's nothing wrong with that."

"Yeaaahh.. not interested in toms is absolutely correct! right on the spot as always Ivypool!" Blossompool agreed with gritted teeth, a pained look nearly surfacing her face before forcing a friendly smile "Though starting a family sounds really nice at times, I just really can't have one because.. ya'know" she sighed while plopping herself down with a defeated grunt, obviously upset at herself for partially lying to her friend and continuously bottling up her feelings as always "..You'd probably have a family one day, right? I'm sure.. you would be a wonderful mother if it ever came to it"

Ivypool nodded as if made complete sense, although the Tortoiseshell's pained expression confused her. "Not being interested in being mates with someone is completely fine," she tried to meow encouragingly. "If anything, that could probably motivate you to become better at your duties or strengthen your friendships! Maybe it'd even get you deputy status one day. Which I'm sure you'd be great at."
Ivypool frowned, noticing the other's upset expression. "Well... if you really want kits, you could just ask a friend of your's to father them." She tilted her head with a frown, feeling as if there was more to the story than Blossomfall was telling her, but not wanting to intrude on the other she-cat's business.
"Me? A mother?" She barked out a laugh. "Nah. That Dovewing's job, I bet. 'Sides, I ... probably wouldn't be the best at mother kits." She shook her head. "And honestly, I think I'd only want to have kits with someone who I loved." A deeply pained expression crossed her features briefly. "Which is unlikely to happen... There's a better chance of me becoming a medicine cat than me being a mother, I bet." Her eyes were full of emotion and her voice was softer, sadder, when she first started to talk about kits and mates.
