😭😭😭😭😭Noooooooooooooooooooooo as I sceam at the top of my lung I ran to the ocean to rescue Lee from drowing. I didn't think I just ran and ran to the middle of the ocean but I had one thought in my head. Is she..........NO she not I refuse to believe that she di... e....d. As I swim faster and faster and dive into the deep part of the ocean I see Bubble Lee with her eyes close. My heart just..........stop for a second I'm just crying but no one can see my tears because I'm at the bottom of the ocean. But at a split second I see Lee eyes stared to open but just a little as I saw her eyes open I grab Lee buy the back of her shoulder and carried her back to the beach. I told everyone to call 911 or anything to get Lee some help. COME ON LEE PLEASE DONT DIE ON US As I said over and over and over again on hopping that she will wake up and at split second she stared to cough and cough and see water coming out of her mouth she stared to breath but pretty weak though. Lee stared to look at me and the paramedics she said at a very weak voice she said *thank you Jake for saving my life I oh you big time but before she could say anything else she past out due to loosing a lot of blood and almost dying from drowning. With the paramedics brought Lee to the hospital to heal her and give here a lot of tender,love and care Jake rushed in to the hospital to see Lee and hoping that she will be okay. Bubble Lee was taking care of for the past 3 weeks and recovering from a terrible thing that happen to a very beautiful persons um Jake said Lee what is it said Jake I just want to say that I'm very happy to call you my friend. In a moment of silent Lee said very sadly tone of voice she said if you didn't find me I would be a goner if it wasn't thanks to you Lee gave Jake the biggest hug and stared to cry on Jake shoulder and saying thank you over and over again. Jake stared to erase the tears on Lee face I stared to giggle and said you look so cute when you are crying and they stared to laugh over what I said. *Bubble lee stared to look at Jake in the eyes and gave Jake a kiss on the lips and walk to the sunset I love you Jake said Bubble lee. I love you to Said Jake. As Bubble Lee and Jake walk away from the hospital they stared to hold hands and stared to kiss again and make this the best day of there lives.

Sad, but beautiful. I'm afraid I've never actually heard the song, but the drawing is beautiful and emotional at every stage. At the end, the battle is over and she can just peacefully go to sleep.
(And since you've drawn her in many forms, maybe she can be an anthro-pony-mermaid in her next life... well, it's a thought.)
Also, a bit more realistic: in anything you ever read about water safety, it'll say that drowning doesn't look like the dramatic television scenes where someone manages to thrash and flail for ages and not sink until the rescuers get about ten feet away. Turns out that sinking into the water actually looks like... sinking into the water.

I've always found drowning kind of romantic in a sense. She is suppose to be dreaming of a time where she almost drowned as a kid, but I think she would perfer a much more relaxing dream.
I use to be a lifeguard and had to take water safety classes, so I know a few things about drowning.. or atleast how to help someone if they are. ^^

I always felt that way too, and then I'd feel sorta guilty about it when a drowning would be reported on the news. Heh.
I don't suppose that time she almost drowned as a kid will be the subject of a post or strip or whatever you call an installment of the Ask-thingie down the road?
Also, it's awesome that you used to be a lifeguard. So, if you did see someone drowning and weren't trained or anything, how would you save the person without being dragged down yourself? Or is the answer to that "don't; go get the actual lifeguards?"

I often have dreams of flying like the Hulk does when he run/jumps. It symbolizes I think total control over your life or no worries (hakuna matata). When I wake up after those dreams, I feel refreshed.
