Why do you think Benno has ruby red eyes? & Why do you think Benno doesn't remember much of his past?

Answer: (DYRM Spoilers oh geez)
Benno's eyes were actually dark brown. And he and CC met a long time before the first part of 'Do You Remember Me?' A certain event happened between CC and Benno that resulted to something really REALLY bad for Benno because he knew CC. They were both really young, so he was obviously emotionally scarred.

CC saw this as his fault and that he should take full responsibility, so he made a 'barrier' on Benno's memory. So that he'd forget everything that happened between him and CC, and that he'd forget his emotional scarring. That's why he doesn't remember much of anything.

This is why CC's horse chose Benno's place, it wasn't out of chance. His horse RECOGNIZED the way. His horse RECOGNIZED Benno. (spoiler) In the second part, Benno says something about CC, saying that he looks like someone he knew. And it's true. He DID know him.

His red eyes were a part of the side-effect of the barrier. Think of it as blowback. It was the result of the tremendous and overbearing barrier inserted into his memory.

Up to this day, Benno still doesn't know this. But CC does.

That's why he's so kind to him no matter what he did.

UPDATE: I forgot to say! I used a color palette! ; u ; Also I took a century on this because I made the WIP before leaving to play badminton with the LOU people and I cam back to it like HOURS later and then stuff happened and yeah okay don't mind this ahahah ; u ;
