Oh my goodness! This was such a great request! I had so much fun making it.
Thanks smartasspickachu for asking it!I’ll confess that I’m only familiar with the first two generations of Pokemon (I grew up with Yellow, Fire Red and Crystal) so I only picked Pokemon from those two sets. Also, I decided both Double D and Eddy are trainers.

Double D has a team of bug/grass Pokemon because he’s an avid collector and researcher of insects in the Ed, Edd n Eddy series as well as cultivating and caring for plants. I feel like he would shy away from Pokemon who are too powerful and intimidating, preferring ones that are naturally more gentle and easy-going.
Meganium: I’m one of those people who falls in love with their starter Pokemon and never takes them off of their team because they’ve had them the longest and trained them the hardest. I feel like Double D would be that way with his as well.
Butterfree and Bellossom: Both are gentle and sweet and probably very interesting to observe and research, but I imagine they can also be quite strong in battles especially under Double D’s care and devotion.

These are just my opinions and what I think they would choose as their team. If anyone else has a better idea for a Pokemon team, I’d love to hear your ideas! :3

I gotta say those 3 really suit Double D with him being the plant and insect lover those 3 pokemon would for sure be Double D's starters great job I also say your Eddy picture great job on it as well but what about Ed are you going to draw one of him as well if so and this is just my opinion of course one of Ed's pokemon would have to be a Grimer/Muk think about it both are smelly and dirty anyways great picture

Sweet choices! For some reason I also see Edd with a psychic type pokemon like Abra - something powerful, but mainly just evasive and cunning.

Someone on y!Gallery suggested Alakazam too. I seriously considered it at first because I thought it was perfect. Let's just say it's one of the other 3 Pokemon you can carry with you.

I totally agree with Edd having Grass and Bug Pokemon (oddly enough, I also see Chikorita as his starter; maybe it's example of two great minds thinking alike?). Trainer!Edd is adorable BTW!

I'm sure it will look awesome! After all, Eddy is very macho and manly.
I can think of some pretty good Pokemon from the newer generations for Edd. Cacnea/Cacturne (3rd generation) and Maractus (5th generation) because they are cacti, and Durant (also 5th generation) because it is an ant.
