My random genin fan-character thing. I'm not going to write her a fic, I dunno, just drew her one day and then I started developing her a bit. I've got no plot for her, though.

Uwah Mikan-chan socute. X3

By "killer instinct" I don't mean that she likes to kill. She doesn't. But it doesn't bother her too much, either.

She'll avoid confrontation if at all possible, but if pushed into it, she won't bother posturing, or trying to wind her opponent or scare them off -- she'll go straight for the disabling wound (in, say, an exam) or a slash across the throat or guts. (on real missions.) Most people spare at least a second to consider before they decide to kill someone, but Mikan doesn't -- she just instantly reacts.

It doesn't make her strong -- she has weak girly noodle arms -- or some kind of natural talent at taijutsu -- her style is rough and simplistic at best, she's not that precise, and she sucks at feinting believably. She moves swiftly and has a good sense of balance, but as for elegance, poise, style... hahaha no. Mostly, either her opponent's stance was open and she kills him, or her opponent wasn't underestimating her too much and he manages to block or dodge... and then she takes the opening he left by being pushed on the defensive, and she runs like the wind.

She really doesn't like fighting. Her survival instinct is through the roof, which means she puts a lot more effort in her stealth skills than in pretty martial moves. XD
