- Birch was born to her EmberClan mother on Christmas Day. She was found in loner territory after her mother died at birth, and was taken in by a loner named Bean.
- Bean somewhat struggled to take care of the three kits during winter, and needed some assistance from a cat named Cupcake to feed the trio.
- The rest of the winter wasn’t much of a struggle and they made it through.
{Adolescence}
- Birch and her siblings were weaned off of milk-herbs and started to explore around.
- Bean brought the three back to Cupcake, where they would stay for a while. Birch and her siblings met their father, the now-mute Leopardshred, although they didn’t truly know that he was their dad.
- After a while, after the kits were allowed to stay and bond with their father, Bean decided that he would leave. With or without the kits, and they would get to choose. Birch’s sister and brother chose to go with Bean, but Birch was so confused at everything that she decided to stay.
- Birch regrets her decision to stay and misses her foster father and siblings a lot. She has been learning sign language from a tom named Sunbelly, Leopardshred, and even Cupcake. She is also being taught herbs.
- Cupcake gave the little kit a collar as a gift, trying to keep the little kit happy.
- Birch started to go by they and she pronouns, deciding it felt right.
