Description
This is my very first Sonic OC Team! They are members of the Diamond Cutters who were forcefully disbanded by Eggman and Mimic in the IDW Comics. In my AU, they did not disband as the last remaining members are still alive and are still active, helping the Resistance with destroying some of Eggman's heavily armed bases. Only 3 of them are helping them while Whisper went solo but is also helping them while on the sidelines. Here are the team members' bios!

Name: Melody "Mel" the Mimic Octopus
Species: Mimic Octopus/Wisp Hybrid
Age: 50+ (Chronological) 15 (Physical)
Powers: Chaos Abilities (same as Shadow), Wisp Abilities (due to her Wisp DNA), Shapeshifting (due to her Mimic Octopus species, can also impersonate one's ability such as Sonic's speed, Blaze's pyrokinesis, etc. thanks to her Wisp DNA unlike Mimic who can only shapeshift as one person without their ability)
Type: Speed
Weapons: Custom Lightning Wispon Whip (Smithy made it for her due to her profession of whip fighting, based from Whip from KOF's whip, Voodoo), Revolver-style Laser Wispon (Slinger asked Smithy to make another of his weapon just for Melody as a gift for their 2-year relationship)
Fighting Style: a mix of Soubenjutsu and other variety of whip fighting
Backstory: Melody was created along with Shadow by Prof. Gerald Robotnik more than 50 years ago in Space Colony ARK but with different Alien DNA. Shadow was created with Black Doom DNA while Melody was created with DNA from the Mother Wisp. Although, Maria was a bit dismayed by the fact that Melody looks like her until Prof. Gerald told her the reason for that, he told her that if Maria dies, Shadow would be reminded of her through Melody. Then the incident happened and both Shadow and Melody were ejected by Maria before her last breath. Although Shadow was awakened during the events of Sonic Adventure 02 Battle, Melody was still in hypersleep during those until prior to Sonic Forces. She was then awakened by the Diamond Cutters. Slinger, one of the members, fell in love with her and started dating her for 2 years (he's the same age as Whisper in my AU), he even proposed to her and promised each other that they'll get married when the war is finally over. Unfortunately, it didn't come to pass. During the day of her fiance's death during one of their missions, she met Shadow again after 50+ years of being separated but had to depart fast because of their respective missions, she then lost her fiance Slinger along with Claire and Smithy after she met Shadow. She was with Whisper, Rhythm and Alpha when they died. This made her more determined to stop Eggman from conquering the world.

Name: Princess Rhythm "Rhy" the Mer-Canary
Species: Mer-Canary
Age: 09
Powers: Hypnosis (through singing, considered most powerful and very rare Royal Gift), Canary Cry (obtained within the Royal Family of Oceanus), Shifting from Mermaid Tail to Legs (every denizen including the Royal Family have that ability), Divination, Mirror Image, Seal Powers, Reflector, Create Shadow, Seal, Telepathy and Teleportation (obtained through the Royal Mirror of Oceanus located on her belt disguised as a pocket mirror, one of the sacred family heirlooms of the Royal Family, based from the Yata Mirror from KOF)
Type: Flight, Technique and Skill
Fighting Style: soft movements resembling traditional Japanese dancing with wide open-handed strikes
Backstory: Princess Rhythm is the youngest of King Rhapsody's 7 daughters in the underwater kingdom of Oceanus which is the border of both Sonic and Blaze's dimensions. She doesn't like her father and her sisters being overprotective towards her considering she can take care of herself. She is also connected to the Royal Mirror of Oceanus while 2 of her olders sisters are connected to both the Royal Sword and Royal Jewel of Oceanus. Prior to Sonic Forces, her kingdom was conquered by Eggman, she was the only one who escaped his grasp while her father was brainwashed to do his bidding whiler her older sisters were imprisoned. She was lucky that she escaped but is worried for her family and her people's safety. She then at first joined the Babylon Rogues (her flame markings are hidden in her armbands) when they first thought Rhythm was just a normal canary with wings when in actuality, she's in her human form as her true heritage is a mer-canary. Then she decided to sneak out and befriended a Magenta Wisp along the way and met and joined the Diamond Cutters. She became fast friends with Melody and Alpha along the way, she then decided to call Melody "Mel" because she has a sister named Melody as well. Smithy then made her Magenta necklace Wispon that, when activated with her Magenta Wisp, further enhances both her hypnotic singing and canary cry that she was born with. When she heard her kingdom was conquered by Eggman, she became more determined to get both her kingdom and her family's glory back from Eggman along with her friends.

Name: Alpha the Jackal
Species: Jackal
Age: 18
Powers: Phantom Ruby Manipulation (hers is more powerful than her younger twin brother Infinite's and she has more control with her powers than him who his is very unstable)
Type: Power and Skill
Weapons: Double-bladed Drill Wispon Spear (usuable when activated by one Yellow Wisp but more powerful when both of her Yellow Wisps are in her double-bladed spear, also has a trigger on her spear that activates another laser blade on the other side and both blades spin when trigger is pressed again, activating the Drill ability)
Fighting Style: mix of Sōjutsu and Bōjutsu
Backstory: Alpha is the older twin sister of Infinite and was once a member of the Jackal Squad, but since she wasn't used to the morals of her old group, she decided to quit and went to her new group which is the Diamond Cutters. She was already used to their morals and becames friends along the way. Before the war started, she went to the site where her old group tried to raid Eggman's base when he found the two halves of the Phantom Ruby (In my AU, the Phantom Ruby was sliced in half.), she then stole the more powerful half of the ruby when she went inside without being discovered by both Eggman and her brother and his squad. Thanks to her knowledge about the Phantom Ruby's history, she mastered it's abilities. When she heard that Infinite got corrupted by the Phantom Ruby, she was devastated, causing a temporary illusion towards her friends until she realized it. Because of her brother's corruption, she became determined to take him back to the good side while reforming her old squad along the way with her friends.

NOTE: I tried to not make them Mary Sue-ish, ok?! if you guys think they are still Mary Sue-ish, I'll be sure to change some of their aspects.
