Hayyyyy! So I had enough muns to get a couple fine tipped pens and a brush pen last month. A C Moore and their sales, they play with my emotions! So yeah, I got Bristol Vellum paper for the first time. So nice and thick I didn't wanna use it!I've never participated in Inktober.... or any artist challenge.... or even anything LMAO! This is the only time I tried to follow one of the prompts. Anytime I thought of swift, I thought of how hummingbirds are so swift to come and go! Those flowers are supposed to be cosmos or something, but I deviate from... all of my references. My imagination takes over even if it's just a little. Aaaaaand I had white and gold jellyrollers that I got in August, hoping I would be able to open an ETSY BY NOW DAMNIT! Hahaha, anyway, I know I take horrible pictures, but I'm looking to change that asap!
Huge learning curve with the brush pen, and I kept sticking my hand in ink before it was dry OTL, but it was fun!

I really like it - swift somehow fits ^^. And I love that golden gleam - it's somewhat... almost not recognizeable, but when you look at it, you see it - and it makes a huge thing in this picture.
About your lines - it looks really good that you varied your line-thickness. All in all everything looks somewhat gracile, but those thicker elements get it "on earth" and make, in my eyes, a wonderful artistic thing out of this. (in opposition to - when the lines were all the same thickness; that picture gets more interesting with different line-thicknesses , and blacker spots as you did)

Ohhh thank you, and I understand what you're saying! What a thoughtful comment! Haha, that was my first time buying and using a gold metallic gelly roller (gel pen) and it's fun! I hope you get/have some, and also the brush pen. The brush pen was so hard to learn to use without many mistakes, but with that one brush pen you can get so many varying line widths (line-weight) . It's nice not having to pick up so many different pens to ink a drawing!

I know I had some metallic gel pens once - I'm not sure if I still have them somewhere around ^^. Hm - I think I might have a brush pen, indeed... but maybe only in grey-scales, I'm not sure if I have one in black

They're so super tiny and colored so vividly. You can hardly see em, and they're the only bird that can fly backward, like a bee, if they need to! So if I'm lucky and see one, I stay really still as not to scare it, and try to drink in watching something so neat! ^u^
