Description  Somber's Notes:

Date: October 3rd, 1424
Project Number: 2
Project Name: Complete Reverse Engineering
Firearm name: Mateba mtr series (Ausonian)
Engineering Revision: Model 1
Design Dairy:
It seems that the economic troubles in Molovia have begun to increase tensions inside the EU and the surrounding nations of the EU, preparations for the relocation of the Ausonia Branch of the League, to the Deutsche Branch have begun. The order request I made for a transfer of a Mateba MTR-14 competition revolver to the Zhongia Branch has subsequently been cancel. Due to this setback, I have resolved myself to take up the challenge of figuring out the design of the MTR series. Due to a limited production run of this series of competition revolvers, the death of the designer in 08, and the company declaring bankruptcy 5 years ago, no public design schematics nor easily accessible breakdowns exist. The only information I can find is the external design and the reason for the odd shape of the gun.
The revolver is one of the earlier successful handguns to experiment with the idea of a lower barrel axis, meaning a barrel that is located much lower and closer to the hand of the shooter. The idea behind this design is that by having the barrel lower down, the axis in the which the force of recoil follows would be closer to your arm. This, in turn, decreases leverage and thus decrease the muzzle climb and increasing target retention. The mtr series though did suffer in the field of weight and size, making it completely impractical to be used as a self-defense weapon. The handgun is practically reserved only for recreational or competition use.
Emilio Ghisoni's contribution to revolver design was many and would take me many years before I can completely compile and understand his designs, however, further research must me halted for now, as from my analysis of the current situation in the EU nations, Gaul would be the next highest probability for increased unrest, and I must research and try to procure as many Gallic designs before accessibility becomes near impossible.

Artist's note:

The new school year hitting hard already! AWWW YAH!!! XP
My art output will be somewhat slowed for the next month or two, but I may post some fast art now and then, this will probably be my last complex piece before the load slows down. I am also trying out adding these small lore bits from my uni in the description of my art from now on, they give a small insight into the going-ons in my uni and for those who are interested, a brief history of some real-life history too. I am also working on the firearms design guide, however, it may take some time due to school and stuff.

didn't stop to look and understand exactly how it works, but i can see this being converted into a really nice carabine

I think I can see that too, thanks for the suggestion

dang this looks extremely professional
I'd expect to find it in a gun design book or something!

The amount of steady line-art in this is intimidatingly gud

Thank man!
I am also working on a VERY BASIC guide for realistic gun design, though it may take some time XP

And thanks! Much pain and hand strain was put into trying to draw perfectly straight lines X3

Wow this looks cool o.o Did you made the circles with an exact measurements of the radius/diameter of it?
This looks awesome!

No I didn't, I made guesstimates for most of the design, but as for the pin diameters and barrel size, those are completely scaleable because the entire gun is overbuilt to a degree anyways XP

Ohhh nice ^^ It still looks cool because you made the sizes look technical and fit to the gun :3

Thanks, and they are with maybe a millimeter or two off because of the actually work to a degree, maybe in the future I'll actually do the advanced math and tune the parts exactly, but they should work still

Thank you so much!
Yah I probably will in the future, but school is school, however, I plan on doing a couple of other things in the near future that will incorporate gun design into it soon ^u^
