My favorite part in the book. Especially when it comes out that Dr. Chandra only wanted HAL to create a new, upgraded version of him. It hurt me even though HAL is.....more than a machine at this point. At least, David cared enough to fuse with him.

Wow, maybe that was HAL's greatest flaw; he was programmed by humans who wanted him to be better than humans but added pressure to him that made him suffer like humans.
