“Give me an A! Give me an R! Give me an M! Give……”

Ashley never thought she’d be here, commanding a cheer squad in the middle of a big game. It was certainly an achievement, and one that made her quite popular with her peers. But mainly because… well… Ashley wasn’t a girl named Ashley. Or at least she didn’t used to be.

His name was Ashton. He was honestly a really average kinda guy. His plan was to coast through his entire education without even being noticed. He never cared for the popular life, nor to make record-breaking achievements in his academics. He kinda wanted to just live his life in peace and quiet. He also thought peaking in high school was pretty cringe anyway.

But that was before he found himself tied up in the girls locker room, surrounded by the cheer squad. It was awfully sudden, but they basically explained to him that they needed someone to substitute was one of their members who was sick. Given Ashton’s practically invisible status among his peers, he was the perfect candidate for them to snag and borrow for a game without anyone noticing. He naturally resisted the idea, as most teen boys would, but he didn’t have any choice in the matter. Part of the plan included this weird spellbook the girls kept insisting to him worked, and it did! They claimed they mostly used it for casual stuff like summoning snacks, but apparently it could physically turn a guy into a girl too!

Knowing she had to play along to get back to her old body, Ashton/Ashley relented and took part in their scheme. Surprisingly, she found herself much more athletic and co-operative with her squadmates than she’d thought she’d be, which they chalked up to as a side-effect of the spell. Though a side-effect they didn’t notice was Ashley’s developing mind. Using a transformative spell on a developing young mind can have consequential effects, and so Ashley’s mind adapted to her body and circumstances. The uniform felt awkward at first, for example, but by the time the game came, she held a strange admiration for it and actually liked the idea of people seeing her in it! And the plain invisible personality she used to have slowly became a more peppy and social one, she went from trying to ignore the squad’s group-talk to actively participating, finding an interest in fashion and boys.

By the time the game came along, she was an indistinguishable part of the team! Though pretty soon it was over, and unfortunately it was time to turn back… Or was it? Even though the previously sick girl was back on the squad, the girls felt they’d miss having Ashley with them. When she revealed that she’d actually kinda grew to like being a girl with them, well, it was an emotionally happy moment. They even discovered another spell in the book, that could make reality adapt to changes previously made. Ashley had no problem sealing the deal by that point, and so to most of the world, there was never any Ashton, just Ashley.

By the time the same game rolled around the following year, Ashley had been such a valuable part of the squad that she had been made captain! It was a great time, and she enjoyed every moment spending time with the other girls, especially when they eventually celebrated their team winning that game. During which, one of her friends whispered to her a little rumor that had been floating around lately.

People were saying Josh was planning to ask her out after the game. She smiled. She’d been kinda envious of when the other girls talked about their own boyfriends, and she had to admit he was pretty handsome. She never thought she’d be here, but she was loving it. She couldn’t wait until next practice so she could chat with her friends!

Thank you for reading!
Maybe the cheerleader tf is a bit cliché for tg captions, but I wanted to try it out lol. Also I just thought the picture I found to use was too good not to use. Ultimately I'm happy I did it, I'm pretty proud of this one, even though I felt it might be a bit too long for a caption...

As always, cheers!
