Another headshot of a SK character, they'll all roll out eventually lol.This is Abi (or Abby) Sinian, the doctor who lends the Swat Kats a hand with their supernatural adversaries.

What is with see-through bangs anyway? I see them a ton in anime and anime-inspired art. This is a great picture but like so many great pictures I find myself wondering why I can see her eyebrows (and eyelashes) through her hair as though it were cellophane.
I mean no disrespect at all, this is a good picture, and to prove it, I'll fave it, but my puzzlement still stands.
Also, so far as I know, "Abby" is the canonical spelling according to the old model sheets that used to be posted on Cartoon Network's website years back. Her name was partly obscured by the CN logo but two B's were legible in it.

LOL I put her eyes through her hair mostly for reference for myself, no biggie, I drew out all the female characters (most of them anyway) and I wanted eyes and such to stand out so I wouldn't make the facial features too similar to one another, it has nothing to do with anime ~

Fair enough, although I do see that a lot in anime-ish stuff. Nonetheless this is a pretty awesome pic. Once upon a time everyone told me how on-model my own artwork was, but you, my friend, are freaking spectacular!

And to answer your question, the eyes appearing through hair is a part of the anime style, look in CLAMP manga, major in there ^^

Just a part of the style, stylized similarly to how mid-century cartoons are stylized (Hanna-Barbera) and surrealism, etc.
