Description
Since the Godwin family only seems to have lasted about two or three generations until vanishing into obscurity, I decided to demonstrate how, in exactly 261 years, the English monarchy ended up having a king and queen who were both descendants of Harold Godwinson. Maybe that's why the many many descendants of Edward and Philippa's five sons were so quarrelsome; since they had the blood of both Harold and William.
In any case, I tend to agree with Harold Sharpe's hypothesis that Matilda, wife of Walter D'Aincourt, was the daughter of Alan Rufus and Gunhild of Wessex, so it's included on the tree.
