it's a very nice closeup. A little bit heavy on the Gaussian blur but the object is very nice.

I'm going to fix the blur and entertain the thought of moving the bee back over to the left. The original was really a terrible photo. I have maybe fifty other photos like it that are better quality but the bee isn't how I would like him to be. I know I know I could just photoshop the bee in from another photo but that is just plain cheating, lol. I'm going to submit the original unedited in my scraps so that all of you can see. Unfortunately my camera doesn't do to well at 1/2000 with a macro lens in macro mode and many of the pictures come out speckled and blurry. Perhaps the master of clear vivid photos has a solution for me? Most of my work doesn't take a whole lot of photoshopping if any at all. Just do not confuse the original photo with all of my recent work, haha.

heheh I'm bad at macro shots I don't know what it is perhaps A tripod helps . I love portrait style photo's and I have the perfect lens for that.
Maybe I buy a macro lens sometimes cause I like to make them
or, I borrow my brothers Sony DSC 70 that camera is a macro master
well, I'm looking forward to see the original! kind of curious now

I was trying to use my tripod but the bee kept moving so I found it easier to follow it around, lol Thankfully it was off the trail a little bit otherwise people would have looked at me like I'm an idiot. I was originally capturing a stream but the bee caught my attention.

Macro shooting is fun but I prefer driving the country side looking for barns and other rural amusements.

Hopefully I didn't totally ruin the photo its looking quite bleak since Jade prefers the original. I will go cry now Just kidding. I will get it fixed

Interesting... I like the detail on the bee and the plant...

The blur is a bit much though... I think if you cropped it a bit tighter around the bee, you'd get a better effect...

With the bee centered, there's a lot of excess space in the background that takes away from the bee...

Still... good... I like the color and detail... nice lighting and how it seems to glow above the bee.

The bee wasn't originally centered I sort of moved it. I'm thinking maybe it should go back to the left where it was. I'll see what I can do with the blur as I too think it should be lessened. Haydskies would like to see the original photo so I will place it in my scraps a bit later if you also might be interested. I really appreciate the in-depth suggestions as that is the only way I know if what I am doing is as good as it could be. Thanks so much!

Very nice capture. But I think the guassian was a bit overdone, even if like you say the backdrop was awful. Just looks too unnatural like this I think (may I see the original?) Good job anyway.

I'm going to put the original in my scraps - Do not confuse it with all of my work. Generally my pictures take little or no photoshopping. I think I am fighting the limitations of my camera when macroing at a 1/2000 shutter speed but I really do not know a whole lot about specifications I just take pictures, lol

Mate, I like the old background! But oh well. The new one doesn't look too bad.
