First off, I'm taken aback by how raw and unbridled of an emotional response this piece evoked from me. You've made a very powerful image that kindles and feeds off of the viewer...very powerful. The background is especially well rendered, and instead of complimenting or distracting, it adds to the effects and grinds the image into my mind.
