"So girls, what are you going to dress up as for Trick Or Treat?"
Katie "I''m going to be Rapunzel. She has a pretty dress and goes barefoot all the time!"
Margaret: "Katie-bear, you're not going trick or treating in your bare feet. This isn't the park or our yard. You can hurt yourself out there."
"But moooooom, it's part of who she is!"
"Tell you what, Katie, you can wear transparent shoes, like crocs or jello shoes. That way it'll look like you're barefoot while your feet are protected. Ok, hon?"
"Fine, I guess"
"That's settled, then"
James :"And you, Julie, what do you want to be?"
"I'm going to be Red Sonja! She's stronger than any male!"
* parents turns red * NO!!
"But it's empowering! She's a strong woman and her own boss, so it's feministic as well!"
James: "NO DAUGHTER OF US IS GOING OUT THERE DRESSED IN A METAL BIKINI!!"
Margaret "There's all kinds of sickos and creeps out there, and what would the neighbours say??"
Julie & Katie * bending double with laughter * "Just kidding! I'm going to be Lucky Girl!"
Parents : "Who?"
Julie :"Lucky Girl? From Ben10?"
Margaret: "I think I saw that cartoon."
