Description
It never stops, change never stops.
But I can paint it stopped in time.
Inserts smart words, because I'm typing this 12 hours into a stream, non-stop painting.
This is just one of the many scenes I've put on my list to try and paint. I suppose my recent focus on trying to figure out how Chrysalis works again, I just stumbled into also making Starlight and just having an all out battle with myself trying to finish this in one go hah.
There's a lot of stuff I can see I'd probably do different, perhaps more so if I allowed myself more time on it, but it was fun to figure out Chrysalis. Well most of her.
Painting style went a bit all over, had a certain intention but didn't manage to stick to it fully.
Anyhow, hopefully this'll continue to warm me up for more stuff.

Awesome! Too bad the fight was so short. I would have liked to see a match where Starlight used her full potential against Chrysalis. I mean, she is the most powerful unicorn in Equestria, but all she did was dodge Chrysalis's attacks by teleporting and then blasted her once before causing an avalanche. She could have used shields, transfiguration or any number of useful spells to confuse, blind, bind, freeze or imprison Chrysalis, but nope.
Actually, the same can be said for EVERY magic fight in the finale and the last few seasons. They were all quite boring. I hate to say it, but I think Cozy Glow was right. She could use magic for one day and she used it better than all the real Alicorns combined. Ouch.
Anyway, this picture is amazing and I hope you'll make more art of the finale soon. 10/10.

This reminded me of that fight scene between Gandalf and the balrog in LOTR.

No, that was in reference to Gandalf telling Frodo and friends to "RUN, you fools!" before he fell into the abyss.
The fight scene between Chrysalis and Starlight reminded me of the Gandalf vs balrog fight on the snowy mountain top.
