Last little painting of this year, of course a bit of bias towards certain orange pony.

I'm so used to Applejack's colours it's almost a bad habit, but I've been meaning to bend the colours a bit with strong light/exposure, and some soft in shadow visuals.

Rushed through this piece tho... the last several pieces I've made have all been quite on the rush side, I did go with a hard brush well, which I've rarely done this year, whether that's relevant or not.

Maybe I'm just not sure what forms and shapes I want to apply any more, my drawings range from hyperreal to distorted cartoony. It's a lot of ground to cover and figure something out...

Anyhow, at least when zoomed out it still looks ok, the thumbnail. That's my general goal anyway, it needs to look good enough when small more than it does when big, but I'd like to get the latter a bit more like I've done at points in the past again.

But it was still a good year overall I think, exploration, experimentation, production. Nothing still perfect, but I've been keeping active in some ways, although failing in others.

It'll always be interesting to look back, tho.
