I usually make organic shapes and characters, but I suppose this is still kinda in that sense... but then mechanical. (Of course apples applies)Bit of fun with robot designs, in a style you may also see for toy robots or figurines. I did keep this a bit simpler, as a quick midweek piece. Which of course ended up having some complexities I never really had gotten to before.
It's a lot more shiny than most pieces I make. Basically, a bit of material study, combined with specifically trying to get my greyscale figurine-ish style process working with it. Some values are a bit off, and tried to salvage using a bunch of adjustments. But hah, I wasn't even entirely sure what to do with the color scheme. So I ended changing last second stuff. (See WIP)
Anyhow, little shaded piece! Because shading is still also something I do... and that other style, and the style over there, and here... and... stuff.

this is just AMAZING!! I love the way the material looks it literally looks like a shiny plastic or colored stainless steel! I also just adore the pose, it makes this Applebot seem so cute and adorable.

Maybe I'd suggest keeping the proportions close to a human child, the belly feels a bit long and the neck kinda short.
Also, elbows and knees work like hinges, but look almost like a ball and a socket. Accentuating the types of the joints could only add to the drawing.

The leg structure kinda reminds of one of my OC's of a species from my novel I just posted. Well a sub-species/type of the main species of my novel.
I don't post my art work a lot, so when I do post it, it's been around for longer than when it was posted
I don't want to get attacked by fans saying i copied or something..
I do love like her though! just my anxiety and how easily people's fan jump at each other...just worried.
