Description
I was bored so I took a few photos with my crappy Sony Cybershot and blended them. You can still see some of the seams and I can't say I care for the hand on the mirror, (although I could have just erased it), but I didn't feel like continuing on it. Maybe someday I'll revisit it with a better camera.Edit...
Well that someday has come and passed. This concept revisited with a better camera can now be found here [link]

Thanks
Glad you like it even though it's my rough draft.

Awesome.
How did you get the hand on the mirror to pull at your shirt like that if you know what I mean...?

Thanks
If you look closely, (since I didn't really clean it up very well), you can see that the hand was superimposed. I made a better job of hiding the mistakes on the next one [link] .

I was trying for that creepy feeling. Yay.

Actually, I think that the hand on the mirror adds to the whole image - there's a feeling of 'how can he get at me and I can't get at him?!' from it. Also, the 'seam' where the hand leaves the mirror to grab the shirt - that's a lovely detail.
Out of curiosity - how'd you manage the photo with the shirt being pulled out? Was it a photo of yourself pulling your shirt?

All of the pictures, (six or seven of them), were taken within a 10 minute timeframe. I later took each photo and overlaid them and just softly erased what I didn't want leaving the next image in place of the gap. The hand was actually in a picture alone and the shirt was pushed, not pulled. I did then have to use liquify in photoshop to merge the hand and the shirt and also cover up other unwanted parts with another photo.
Thanks so much for the message and I hope that answers your question.

It certainly does! My goodness, you're far more dedicated than I realised. I wouldn't have the patience to take all those photos and work with them like that. Kudos.

Lol. Thank you. Now if only I could get a good camera and redo it better.

Lol, I'm glad you like it and you can drag it out as long as you like. I'll never push away a criticism or a compliment.

Thats a cool effect. How the mirror version is threatening the other guy.

Haha, what a neat picture! Your expressions are great, and overall it isn't a bad picture for what you had to work with camera-wise.

Really like the idea and have to agree with you that it will look great when you revisit it. I would leave the hand on the mirror as it adds to the surrealness (real word?) of the photo. You may want to show the scissors on the non-psycho side of the mirror. If you redo this please send me a link!

Definitely will but it may be some time before it happens. When I do it will be with a better camera which may take time to purchase.
I see what you mean with the hand, never thought about it but I guess it does add to the helplessness and horror of the event. I might try to redo the transfer through the mirror next time to make the glass warp and not the arm. Thanks so much for the comment.

Haha, this is great. I love pictures like this.
Really the only thing I can see to critique is where the hand comes out of the mirror, that looks a bit weird, and that it's a tad over-exposed in some parts, but in this case I don't think it's that big of an issue.
This looks like an actual snapshot someone took of something really weird happening. Most photomanips look like a photomanip, not just some weird photo. This is one of the few exceptions.

I actually had my shutter speed to 2.0 hoping it would make the shines in the picture much brighter and a little over the top but I didn't get the exact effect. Glad you like it and thank you for the praise and critique.

ha wow i think you really have something here, if you ever do go back and take some time on this it could be an amaing picture, it still gets you from a far away view but up close you can tell what you did

Heh, thanks I might revamp it entirely though. I would have liked to have a toothbrush in one hand and my hand on the wall not the mirror. Also the scissors on the counter. Wouldn't mind a good camera too.
