This is the thing about shooting raw. Under-exposed to get the sun-set but then pulled out the detail on the rock in post-procesing. Had it been a JPG, the detail in the rock would have been lost.

Thank you. We do get some amazing sunsets in Margate and we are fortunate with having an East-West coastline. Broadstairs runs North-South so whilst we get decent sun-rises occasionally, sunsets there are poor.

I'm really lucky that I live on the peninsula of South-east England. We have coastlines to our North, East and South. If you drive 6 miles west, you're in rural country side. It's just the weather that sucks. Got up at 4am today to catch the sunrise at some nearby lakes to be greeted with manky overcast grey skies. Oh well, back to bed for a few hours I think
