This is a recent project I did for my Design I class in college. We were to take a photo reference, and recreate it on a 16 x 20 illustration board using black and white medium only. I chose a beautiful photograph of a peacock, and used graphite. This took maybe 5-6 hours to complete. The tailfeathers in the background were definately the most challenging part, because they were out of focus in the photo, and it was difficult to recreate. I basically had to do sheer value with no detail. It was tough, but I am very pleased with this. I got an A, and my professor seemed to like mine the best.
Me so happy.Oh and sorry for the bad quality. This was too big to scan, so I had to take a picture with my digital camera. Bah. This is much more detailed in person. I hope you like it! Comments are very much appreciated. Thanks!
