i've never seen a daisy like this...was surprised it wasn't in some faraway land, rather than canada!..

aww thanks. its not a regular daisy but looks like it so i named it that way. its a tall but skinny wild flower, can be found in fields, parks, forests etc

It looks much more like Erigeron annuus (L.) Pers. (for example here [link] ) then Bellis perennis L. ( here [link] ) though these are European Daisy photos
Daisy has rosette and from that go stems - one stem, one blossom.

Eastern daisy is the name of this flower. so its daisy after all

oh its not Bellis perennis. my mom got lots of those bellis in her garden in Europe 
as u said its Erigeron annuus. and i just took a photo of daisy - one stem one blossom
