This is truly an inspiring and intense picture, very "film noir", mixed with a certain touch of an Italian "femme fatale". It's impressive how the model's skin texture looks so grainy here... you can almost feel it under your fingertips just by staring at her. and i love the shadows in it, because you have both smooth transitions on her chest and background, but also sharp shadow contrast on her face, which stresses her dramatic expression, of defiance as you've so well named it. Lovely result on the whole. Certainly one of the best images in your gallery, independently of what the DD experts might say.
