This drawing I made long ago, is an ancient representation of Squaluans and Zenkayas. They have physical and thematic differences, Squaluans are something more than science fiction while Zenkayas are something like fantasy.Related content

The Denizas are a lot like the Vortex and Foe from Ecco the Dolphin in their modus operandi. Even though sharks in Ecco the Dolphin were for the most part non-sapient enemies, it seems that if Ecco and his pod were to somehow end up in your story universe, they and the Squaluans and Zenkayans would be natural allies.
Also, any bets that Squaluan starships resemble sharks too?

Yes, it's a name I chose to be a shark in French and also refer to the name "Requiem" to have certain symbology with that breed that I created.

Actually I can... Squaluans
One thing I want to point out in your art: normally lots of details make art seem cluttered, messy and hard to look at, so artists go out of their way to make things simplistic. However, you add loads of details to your characters, but instead of making the drawings look bad, the details make them look very ornate and friendly, like they would want to have you over for tea and chat about your friend's new sword. It's an uncommon stylistic choice, but when done right (as yours was), they can look just stunning!
Oh-- and I think those "cut here" tattoos on the Squaluan dude are pretty funny

Well, the Squaluans seem a bit tougher (obvious), and to me, they just seem to have a bit more character. The mystical, enlightened, dainty Zenkaya aren't my kind of thing :3

I have this aspect of polarity, even astrologically I have a dual representation 8D
I really like fantasy, magic and mysticism. But also of science fiction, wisdom and technology. So I express this polarity in these two races.

aquatic species always are fun to draw, maybe coz they would have many unique abilities to live on surface (if anthropomorphic beings ofc), maybe mostly in wet places. do ya think, if sharks build a spaceship, should they fill it with water instead atmosphere then?

I think it would depend on how this shark race evolved. In this race I have created, they have hybrid lungs, they can breathe through the atmosphere and the hydrosphere. But despite this they are like amphibians, on the surface they lose hydration. They need to be hydrated and live in a humid environment. Their homes have large ornamental vessels with water, vaporizers that leave the environment humid, and much of their land cities are coastal. With many fountains, canals, aqueducts. In the case of my race, the ship must have a humid atmosphere generator ~ c:
