In the second part I had to choose three coadjuvantes to complement the redesign, I chose the three main characters that Dorothy finds in the kingdom of oz. I turned them into robots that perform the maintenance of a mining space station that was mysteriously abandoned.C.R.O.P. – Carbon-Regulating Oxygen Producer:
The scarecrow was conceived as a robot that controls and maintains flora and agriculture, taking care of automated plantations for food production and supplying oxygen throughout the season through the cultivation of different forests and plants.
L.E.O. – Light and Environment Overseer:
The lion was conceived as a robot that controls and regulates fauna and climate, taking care of the species of animals and insects that compose the ecosystem of the station, controls the population and generation of these animals as a predator, besides caring for and regulating the Temperature, light and humidity provided by the season artificial sun.
T.I.N. – Technical Integrated Network:
The Tin Man was conceived as a robot that performs the control and maintenance of technology and electricity, taking care of all the mechanisms and machines that make up the station, organizing the distribution of electric energy and cooling systems.

Holy shoot, these robots look awesome. It’s a pretty welcome change from the predominantly rough, nitty-gritty robo designs oftrn found ‘round the site. Like how these three have actual clothing, and all those intricate ornamentations and patterns on their bodies.

From here on i can imagine some things: the space shuttle that carried Dorothy crashed in the station, crushing a rogue robot that was corrupting the systems, and start walking on the yellow-marked catwalk, that indicates the way to the core.
Along the way she finds CROP, who reports a failure in his deduction core that don't let him find the correct mineral proportions; LEO, who had lost the authority to comand the biology labs; and TIN, who has lost his simulated empathy chip that allowed him to "percieve" the maintenance subsystems.
They are travelling to the core, where rest the mainframe OZ (Operative Zeta) the robots to recieve manteinance, and Dorothy to send a distress signal to S.S. Kansas, the closest ship in the sector.

Hahah the story you imagined is very similar to the one I had to develop for this redesign.
In the story I created, Dorothy's ship was in a space fold to deliver food to a colony that ordered it. But during the way of the fold her ship fell into a mysterious vortex that teleported her to the location of the mining station, which had disappeared and became a case with no outcome for ten years.
The bridge of the ship disengaged itself from the main structure and fell into the station. His ship has an artificial intelligence called Glinda, which has a maternal bond with dorothy, with the fall of the ship the main transistor of the ship was damaged, and if it was not replaced in a few hours, the ship would have no more energy and would be restarted, which could Erase all the memories and memories that Glinda and the bond she had with Dorothy would be lost, for it would be a new Glinda.
Determined, she picked up the reserve transistor and left the bumpy ship to find the command bridge called "O.S." (Overall System) that is on the opposite side of the ring, because she had the bad luck to fall on the opposite side of a part of the ring that was unfinished. Then she would have to go around the ring, using the O.S. cortex as a guide.
To aid in the walk, Glinda suggested that she wear a special shoe that it was common for employees to wear, red shoes that allowed her to jump and float, as there were many high and steep places.
Along the way she found huge servants sealing the three robots, they could not leave their places without human order, and those robots were worried because the humans of the station disappeared several years ago. But despite that, they kept the station alive.
Each had a fear that prevented them from having autonomy and made them insecure. In the western server C.R.O.P. believed he was stupid to understand human knowledge, and would never be able to create art as humans do. But when Dorothy appears, she convinces him that he possesses an intelligence of his own and that the way he cared for the flora of the season, with such care and affection, is a work of art. On the north server L.E.O. was rather fearful and was afraid to leave his command post after suffering a traumatic accident, but Dorothy proves that he is brave because to manipulate the dangerous mechanisms that help to control the weather and fauna of the season proves that he is quite brave To meet any challenge. And finally on the east server T.I.N. he was ashamed of himself and believed that he was a cold monster, for he accidentally injured some station employees and decided never again to go straight to people out of guilt, but Dorothy convinced him that this was past and that the Forgiven, wrong happen, a machine does not have to be perfect.
With the three robots assembled she walks to the O.S. where there are recordings of the disappeared officials, it would eventually be revealed that the green crystallization that was being mined and studied inside that meteor was an alien life form. This creature revealed that it arose from the fusion of innumerable consciences of the ancient inhabitants of an extinct alien civilization, its planet was destroyed by a super nova and determined to preserve themselves, they developed a method to transfer their consciences to the interior of the synthetic crystallization that was created On one of the moons of his home planet.
When the entire solar system was destroyed, only that moon was intact, until it was discovered by humans in the future and demolished and exploited, when humans began to pierce the crystals, the alien life form began to suffer as a way of protecting itself , She used a telekinetic ability to swallow the whole station in a closed dimension.
The officials tried to escape from the strange dimension, but ended up dying in their ships. Feeling sorry for those humans, the entity preserved their consciousness within the crystals to save them, now they are part of them.
With that Dorothy could leave, although the three robots decide to remain, to take care of that station and to prevent that they cause suffering to the crystals again. Dorothy reloads the transistor and finally returns to her ship and back home.

Wow, your version is much better! It makes more sense that it happens in another dimension, as the original Oz seems to be.

The witches were the only thing I had trouble thinking about and I did not add anything, the only one that exists is glinda, which is the A.I. of dorothy's ship and that runs the risk of being erased if the transistor is not changed. It is her motivation to move through the station.
