So, this must have gotten lost in my message center or something because I am just now seeing it... like way way way way WAY super late! Many apologies for that!!!
I'm honestly not even sure if this has been resolved or anything (and I hope it has)... but just in case it wasn't I've added you to his slots D:

You can find all that information in this journal
Chime PointsChime Points
This is the area where you can read all about Quirlicorns Chime points and how to level up. Be sure to read carefully in order to make the best choices for your Quirlicorn and you.
Each Quirlicorn comes from a certain type of region which decides what type of chime he or she is given.
Owners get to decide which region their Quirlicorn is from, though it should be noted that once you have picked the region you may not change it later. While your Quirlicorn doesn't have to physically live in that region, the chosen region/Chime will determine what your Quirlicorn will earn on it's way.
You are responsible for keeping track of your Chime Points and in order to level up as you reach each level, you must note the group to let us know which level your Quirlicorn has just reached with a link to all information we need to verify that you indeed have enough points to level. Once we confirm that you have leveled, you may make use of the levels g

Really love this mutation ^^ I've long loved the deadly little forest assassins known as dart frogs Great to see them given a bit of love with Quirlies ^^

haha, yeah.. I've been thinking about doing this mutation for a while now especially since I recently became quite interested in owning a dart frog

Ohhh what an awesome pet! I didn't realise you could own them as pets! I've only ever seen them in zoos/tropical centres

Yeah, I started looking into them not too long ago. They are essentially display pets because they aren't the type of frog you want to take out and carry around and pet etc.. But you can set up some really neat enclosures for them and let them free in it, feed them, etc etc.. and yeah My biggest concern is getting the right set up because you need the right temperatures and humidity etc..AND.. I don't know how the cats would take to them so I wouldn't want to spend 50-100$ on a frog that my cat will stress to the point of death D:

OpalSkye In reply to Astralseed [2015-06-21 02:40:17 +0000 UTC]
So I guess, in a lot of ways they're very similar to tropical fish, possibly even salt-water fish, what with the tricky balancing of environment. That would be a lot of fun to design his/her vivarium/terrarium; I suppose you could fashion the top of it so that the cats couldn't sit upon the enclosure - that would remove some degree of stress. Again, going back to fish; cats are usually curious at first but eventually lose interest (could be a depth perception issue, or the cats I've had are just ignorant xD). Plus you'd train them to stay away of course.
Pretty pricey but not as much as I thought they might be. I've been looking for a pet that would be suitable for a small house - I desperately want a dog but I'm not convinced the landlord would approve, so I've been considering alternatives but hadn't given reptiles a thought. Hmm, much food for thought
If you do get one I'd love to see and share your experiences Plus I'd be green with envy (so get a black and green one... What are they called... Dendrobates auratus apparently ^^) Haha

If I get one (or two or three) I'd get the blue ones. They are a bit larger and are more hardy than some of the others.
Our cats leave the fish alone just fine but they go nuts for the snake and the bearded dragon so I can see how frogs could have the same effect (no water to make them decide it's a bad idea like with the fish)

OpalSkye In reply to Astralseed [2015-06-21 03:02:04 +0000 UTC]
Ah that makes sense
xD Crazy cats! Does it affect the snake and dragon much? Do they even notice the cats? I guess if you gave the frogs lots of hidey-holes they'd be ok? I can see why you're concerned though - you know your cats best of all ^^
I would have thought the dampness/humidity of the frogs enclosure would put them off. Do you have any spare gear to simulate the environment and see how they behave? A sort of dry run?

Astralseed In reply to OpalSkye [2015-06-21 03:08:51 +0000 UTC]
It's a big problem with the snake because he will go up to the mesh at which point the cats can claw him. The other issue is that if they swat at him he strikes at the glass which is not cool either. We're forever chasing the cats off of his tank.
The beardie is in another room where we don't have to worry about it unless we let the cats in there... though when we get his larger enclosure built he'll be out here.. though he doesn't seem frightened by the cats and I think in no time we can let him out to chase the cats away LOL.
