OMG More photography! So reversal rings are great.. IF you have steady hands.. and such.. I'd still love to be able to afford a real macro lens one of these days though.. until then.. I will just have to make due with the reversal ring thoughRelated content

Macro lenses are SO EXPENSIVE. I've heard of doing reverse-lens macro, but never tried it myself. This looks really nice, though. Good job!

Yeah, the reversal rings are sooo much cheaper and you get the same effect. Β Focusing is a little difficult and you have to hover directly over what you are trying to photograph, but otherwise it's great.

This was actually frost on a window, I still haven't taken any macro shots of snow yet.. maybe this year it will happen

I think reverse rings are awesome... sometimes even more awesome than the macro lens.
I like the way there are so many shades here and yet the piece still retains its overall blueness, like, to further emphasise the atmosphere and mood of things... as well as the concept overall.
I feel as if ... even though I know this is ice, the way it is so defined and patterned makes me think of trees.. unless it is trees and not ice.
Great stuff, anyway.

I've never used a proper macro lens before, I'd like to though some day.
This does remind me a lot of trees too, and yes it's ice, or frost on a window to be precise

Strange how it reminds me and looks a bit like ferns.

I could stare at this all day. It's gorgeous! I love shoving my nose up against windows like this to see the details. xD
