I really love the spectral feel I get from the way you've structured this character with the circles. It's a completely different style, but still somehow brings to mind Dali's sketches of horses, based almost entirely in spheres. This is a really intriguing vectorization.

Oh, I didn't know that Dali ever sketched horses in spheres, I'll have to look into those, it sounds neat! Thank you

Interesting construction of the circles, it almost looks aboriginal inspired and very elegant. The blue eye stands out incredibly well!

Love the concept of these pieces, specifically how the shapes create the 3D bulge and dip of the character's flanks. It's nice to see something this "out there" that doesn't totally abandon realism though; the black silhouette pieces are really detailed and the overall shape seems flawless. Really a neat idea.

I'm surprised I didn't comment on this: I remember looking at it!
I love how you created the form of the horse using the circles. Reminds me of pointillism, only it utilizes shape rather than color. You did a great job capturing the pose of the horse, and I like how the ears and eyes pop out.

I was actually inspired by pointillism for this style so it's nice to see someone say it reminds them of it.

Hi!
First, I really like how you portrayed the horse not in the usual 'realistic' manner per se but giving it abstract form still keeping the actual features intact! Also it's good to see it as a vector [thought a painting or a vexel at first].
However, I do think the mane (on the neck) looks like as if it's a straight line, and if you had left that part blank like you did on the stomach or the back it might give it some flow, and not ruin the curved feature, or you could have used the 'blobs' to make to give it a straight form and only kept the black tufts of hair. The muddy red [?] background kind of takes away the contrast from the black shapes for me, and I guess a different colour combination might have been suitable, but given it's a gift art for someone, I guess it's fine
I specially like your Crow and mostly the Barn Owl one and the way you did the ears are cute
Take care!
P.S. The blobs look like a o_O to me, which is a added plus for me
