It was fascinating seeing Death Stranding from an outsider’s perspective, having only seen bits and pieces of Kojima’s work in Twin Snakes. My mind was B L O W N when Psycho Mantis screwed with the player. What kind of next level gaming is this??

That was my only exposure to Kojima. So the entire ending of Death Stranding was a complete surprise. After having watched most of the Metal Gear games this past year, I can now see that Higgs was completely aware that he was in game. He was an amazing Metal Gear villain. Perfect. Complete with the perfect boss fight. The whole thing gives me shivers. Higgs is a piece of art, and it was such an experience watching his character unfold on screen.
