Description
I think this represents how consumed I have become with digital art lately. This is dedicated to Kingabrit , a very giving soul here on dA, and who, I'm sure, understands this piece exactly.

Consumed, but worth the cause!
It's very beautiful (and maybe with that fair degree of "unaware irony"...)

Oooo, I LOVE this, love this, Marni!!! And yes, I do feel like this nowadays (or rather:
- but it is not too bad). I love what you did with the houses (is it the same house you used for your "dark" pic? - the "Have You Seen My Baby" one? - does not seem so though). And the tree hair with the birdcage (?)... OK, that is just absolutely genius!! Also, love the line that connects the houses - am not sure if it was on the background or you placed it there but it makes the houses look like as if they were hanging - very clever; I love hanging thingies in my art too.
Oh, and nice, consistent overall color!

Happy that you like it!!
Yes, same house...side view of it...I'm gonna use the bleep out of that house, I love it so much.
The "cage" is this contraption I bought somewhere...I don't even remember, but I had Ava pose with in on her head...LOLOL...we laughed our butts off when we were doing that...it was a different picture though, so I copied it from there. The line is from the picture frame wire, but I used it to make it look like the houses were hanging.
And it is still dark, or atleast she is, but I kinda liked it here...it's a learning process. And, oh, hey, I LOVE the gradient mapping, it is freakin' awesome...thank you so much for telling me how to do it. Hey, I know nothing really...I just, last week, learned how to use the freakin' adjustment layers!!!!!! Two weeks before that? Blending modes, who knew you could do such things??? Okay, everyone else...but not me until now...I'm like super girl right now! Yeah. (You're wonder woman....LOL) And on that note, this super girl's gotta prepare for the work week...laundry!

Then you are learning much faster than I did. It took me several years (!) to realize that there are blending modes and even more to start to use the Adjustment layers - I am not kidding. I always read about them and thought, what the heck is this big fuss about them...? Meanwhile I was re-doing gazillion times a step as I changed the level, put a gradient on it, etc... Yep, I am stubborn. But I still remember when I first push the different options of blending modes - it took my breath away, seriously, literally. Could not believe my eyes and from that time on for a looooooong while my pics were nothing else but a bunch of different layers with different blending modes They were terrible needless to say...
I am sooo envious (I already wrote this I know) that you are taking your own photos. So much so that I drag my poor son today to the garage to find his last year's Halloween costume (he was a very, very cool knight, totally plausible metal costume - made of cheapo plastic ) but we could not find it... I am not giving up, I already planned out the whole photo section, poses, etc. Poor boy another passion he has to endure from his mother.

Hey, once you start taking pictures for stock, you won't be able to stop...in fact, it can be down right dangerous...you'll see something while you're driving about and go, I could use that!!!!! Pull ooooooover!!! I think I need to get a mount on my dash and just run the camera at all times....hmmmm.
Just remember to point out to your son that your spending quality time together. And he might enjoy it....you might help him find his passion??? Crazy things can happen. (I am over here nodding like a fool as I am typing....LOL).

Yes, yes - I haven't even started to take photos for stocks (at least for my stash), and I already look at the (artificial) "ruins" at the college's amphiteater thinking "hmmm... I wonder if I could cut that column out from the bushy background..." and so on and so forth...

The fortunate thing is that we ALWAYS, ALWAYS forget to recharge our digi cam, OK, it can be VERY frustrating (like tonight when we missed our opportunity to take 27 thousand pictures of our son playing the marimba and some Japanese drums in his music program
), but the good thing is, I am forced NOT to think of "...so what if I put that bowl on John's - husband - head and make him lift his left leg...? Would I be able to mask out his right leg?"
