I love it! And this is why I stopped keeping half-moon parrots, because I had not one, not two, not three, but four cats drooling all over the cage every morning.

Cats just cannot help themselves, the instinct is toooo strong. These were not my birds but they did live with a cat and were used to being continually watched. Drooling is a great way of expressing it.

thankyou for your lovely comment, those birds were used to a cat watching them, but they were cautious.

Wow, i hope the cat does fall & the birds dont get eaten. Well done, that must have taken for ever. It is really realistic.

thankyou for your 'wow' as soon as I took some photos I grabbed the cat, the birds were safe. It did take some time.

thankyou, I would be lost without my cats, they are my friends and models.
I would never trust a cat on their own with a bird, that instinct is strong.

thats a big rat!!! Stick insects would be interesting, but my cats would definitly eat those.
Next door cats are always great, joy and no responsibility.
I love rabbits too but we have fatal introduced virus's to reduce the wild population so they dont have a long life. too

He was a mischievious and smart cat, I was staying at a friends house so these were their birds. He had been checking them out all day. Luckily he didnt tip the cage. I didnt stop him until I got the shot and opened the door further in the painting/drawing and added elements of the artist Matisse.

So what did your friends think of your cat trying to get their birds to pose for a picture?!
Real fun picture.

They didnt mind, they also had a cat and the birds were used to being drooled over that's why they are so calm but watching him. We were all on alert should the cage tip over or the birds get out. They know I am a crazy artist and tolerate my stangness.

Maybe the birds think they are just really attractive, and love the attention.

lol I think you're right, they are typical "birds" always on show, preening them selves just in case
