I hate the claws too, Rembrandt does a slight nibble on my chin but I have never had a cat that has shown his affection biting my arm, arent you lucky

I was a bit awestruck with that piece. I had just gone through a bunch of, well, less than desirable works and then that one popped up and I actually said out loud "oh yeah, THIS is why I do this"...

Your skill with cats is simply magical! You really bring to life in paintings what few photographers have been able to capture about cats.

He looks so gorgeous,,,,and blue eyes are so unusual!!!....Ilove your miniatures...I'm sure your brush must only have a few hairs!!!

He is gorgeous, and the colour of his eyes were stunning, like jewels, they have changed to a beautiful amber which he wasnt allowed to do, but do cats listen. My brushes are small, some are cut even further to only leave about 2-3 hairs. My son showed me how to do that, as his work is even more detailed. If you work under a magnifier with light it is much easier as your brain reads it as large and you dont shake as much. The power of the mind or how easier the mind is deluded

i do use LArGEr brushes for larger paintings but saying that I have used no. 4 to do a 30 x 40inch painting

thankyou, I took lots of photos of Clawed when he was young because I knew those blue eyes would change. The blue with the orange fur makes a nice compliment. I told him if his eyes changed he'd have to go back but he didnt listen and he's still here because he has the most beautiful gentle nature. This was one from a more successful photo which I cropped, I was using a dangling toy to get him to look up and alert, so that had to removed.

They are crazy creatures, mine liked climbing the apple trees, but he was kinda fat and needed a push up!

very funny, Jezebelle (the siamese) would hide behind a blade of grass and think the birds couldnt see her. (she was slightly cross-eyed). Clawed will play fetch just like a dog, which I must admit can be annoying when I am in the middle of something and he jumps up with one of his toys.
