Mount and tripod: Atlas EQ-G
Camera: Canon Rebel XS(1000D, unmod)

I have had immense trouble imaging this region over the last few years. I'm looking forward to finally giving it a go with the STL-11000M and FSQ-106N.

Yeah, without a wider FOV, doing any large region can be tricky. The FSQ-106 should be perfect. Luckily, the stars make finding & framing pretty easy. Before I took this exposure, I learned some useful equations. For exposure time(in secs) per sub, I use T(secs)= 60*(F#^2/1.85^2, which, for my F7 refractor, turns out to be about 14 minutes. I just rounded up to 15 minutes to get a tad more detail, since I use an entry-level unmodded DSLR. Then for # of subs, SNR=square root of # of subs. I wanted to do 16 frames total, which would of given the SNR of the final image 4, but I lost the DSO behind a tree, then to the horizon
