blah.. I do not like this picture.. but I thought I would upload it anyway.. I TRIED recreating a little girl that was in my dream a few nights ago, but it didn't work.. it's impossible to translate into a drawing since it wasn't real and all.. but oh well..textures by ~thespook and ~stock-feratu

and my dream was that I gave birth to this little girl.. she wasn't a normal little girl..she had long black hair, no eyes no nose and no mouth.. only indents where her eyes would have been.. I lept her in my bag/purse and carried her around with me that way so no one could see her or find out I had her.. I also kept her in a dog cage at home and acted as if I'd never given birth to her... hahahahhahaa

Actually, the little girl is adorable.. She'd make a great doll.. If you're handy with needle and thread I bet you could make some good money making little no-face girl dollies! The outfit is so cute... I much adore how doll-like she is..

this is actually really cool. i like the illustration of the little good, very interesting design. all the texture work is amazing as well, i love the darkness of the piece and the astmosphere it creates. interesting process attempting to recreate as art something from your dream...
as for your dream. sounds like this girl represents something your ashamed of... perhaps that is connected to you, but not specifically something your ashamed of about yourself.... dunno, dont listen to me...

to dream of a child or a doll lacking normal attributes..like..eyes lips mouth etc.
is to have a dream that something or someone in your life is causing you harm with said attributes.
if she was lacking eye's id tell you that someone in your life saw somthing she/he shouldnt of.
but she's lacking a nose and mouth...so that means that she/he has either said something they shouldnt of...or that YOU have said something to someone that you shouldnt of.
thats generally what dreams like that mean.

What a bizarre dream! I imagine translating dreams to your art wouldnt be an easy task, but I would say you did a great job of it! What amazes me is how you managed to make a faceless "doll" have such a sad look on her face...great job!!

Hmmm, well dreams are hard to translate to other people sometimes. I know definately what you mean there. Dreams are sometimes down to emotions. Can be stressfull, could be happy ones... As long as you're happy with recreating your dream. Then this is very much indeed a fine peice of work. I love it's gothicness anyway. It sort of has a Tim Burton feel to it. I like it much.
