I just finished this..woooooo it took a long time.. why did it look so cool when I was making it but now when I look at it it isn't nearly as cool anymore???? WHY????I couldn't decide on what kind of bg sky it should have..so I left it at this... I think it looked better with a plain solid color.. I never have any sort of bg so I made the twisted striped things .. I think they look cool.. I like the red gem thingy under her.. god this took too long..................

I love this. I think it looks very cool right now. I'm going to continue to think so as it graces my favorites list.
An artist is never truely satisfied with his or her own work because it lacks the same mystery. An artist is too intimately familiar with their own work to be objective about whether or not it looks cool... also, as soon as you do something you're proud of, you probably see how you could apply the technique to comething else. At least that my opinion about why it doesn't look as cool to you anymore.
